What’s new in 2.0
We’re really excited to release Ick 2.0 and there have been some major changes from the original beta release.
Major Updates
Focused feedback for B2B Software content
Something that was difficult with the first release is that feedback was a little generic. In this new release we’ve focused heavily on how ‘Ick’ words and phrases are used in the context of content for B2B software. This has made the feedback more focused on this use case.
Pivot toward using the app for AI-generated copy
Users can still enjoy the app for editing their non-AI content, but it's especially valuable for those who use LLMs to generate content. In version 2.0, we've made the instructions much clearer to help users understand how to get the most out of The Ick App.
Subscription Model
The first release of The Ick App was free to help us understand how people were using it, who was signing up, and who returned most often. Now, we believe the app provides enough value, especially for those who use it to edit AI-generated content, to justify a small subscription fee. We will still offer a free trial, but it will be limited to one day of use.
Feedback Panel
The feedback from v1.0 was extensive, to say the least. We learned that users prefer shorter, quicker calls to action for editing their copy. As such, we’ve trimmed the feedback and reformatted elements to function more like a checklist.

📱 Mobile Friendly Version of ick
Right now, Ick is a web app. But a mobile-friendly version is on the way for 3.0! Soon, you’ll be able to edit your copy on the go, right from your browser.
